Vintage Russel Wright Eclipse Glasses

Designed by Russel Wright for Bartlett and Collins in the 1950s, these low ball tumblers have a fantastically fun colorful polka dot pattern, with gold foil accents. They each have heavily weighted bottons and a dramatic flared shape called the "Oklahoma" shape. This is the Old Fashioned glass size, measuring 4 1/8"h by 4" in diameter at the mouth.

Condition:

Originally, the gold would have appeared as full dots overlapping the colored dots. However, much has worn away from the glass and 4 of the glasses only have gold on the overlapping portions. The green glass still has the full gold circles, as seen in the last photo. The majority of the gold on the rims has worn away as well. The remaining paint seems quite stable, but handwashing is recommended to prevent further wear. Other than the surface wear, the glasses are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
