Vintage Anatomical Eyeball Model

0 left

A promotional piece for Merck & Co. in 1963, this vintage anatomical model portrays the eyeball and its components. The ball itself comes free from the stand and disassembles into a top piece, bottom piece, and 2 lenses. The interior of the eyeball features detailed veins and coloring. The eyeball sits atop a cone-shaped stand with a disc base that reads: "Merck Sharp & Dohme, NeoDecadron, Aldomet methyldopa, Decadron phosphate."

Dimensions:

Height: 8"    Eyeball Diameter: 4.5"

Condition:

The entire piece is made of 50-year old plastic, and as such is a bit fragile. There is one exterior crack on the bottom half of the eyeball, to the left of the cornea. There are a few cracks on the interior, where the lenses slide in.
