Vintage Jens Risom lounge chair, designed for Knoll as part of the 600 series, circa 1950s. Noted in the Knoll catalog as the 652 Arm Chair. The natural wood (either birch or maple) frame is covered in interwoven army green cotton canvas webbing straps (an evolution from Risom's original design which used the leather from WWII parachute straps), which are stapled to the frame.
Length: 24" Height: 29" Depth: 26"
There is wear to the finish of the wood around the edges, plus one larger nick to the wood on the rear of the left arm. Overall, the webbing is in good condition: there is one nip to the webbing on the seat, but it does not compromise the strength of the seat.
