Vintage George Nelson Cabinet

Vintage cabinet designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller, circa 1950s. Gorgeously rich birch wood built in a double-compartment cabinet. The left side has an interior shelf, adjustable to 4 levels, covered by a hinged door that secures with a magnet. The right side is open with another adjustable shelf.

On the far right side is a low 10" high bench or shelf, covered in a white laminate finish.

The piece sits on a steel base with 6 squared brushed stainless self-leveling legs.

Marked with a Herman Miller foil label on the interior right wall.

Condition:

Excellent condition with light signs of use. Some very minor edge wear and one shallow scratch to the top. In addition, there are 3 small holes drilled in the top, where another piece of furniture was attached at one point. The holes are cleanly drilled and quite minor, though could be filled if the new owner wished. There is a narrow "line" on the top that shows less patina than the rest -- at one point, a hutch rested on top and this meeting point was unexposed to sunlight and air, giving it a slightly different shade.
