You might remember from this post
that we are a bit infatuated with Zoo Line animals. Well, word gets around because we were recently approached by Mid Mod Mom
to share our collection as part of Bea's "Not For Sale" series. Of course that meant it was time to take a few updated photos of our growing Zoo Line family. You'll definitely see some newbies from the last post!
And since that last post, we were lucky enough to acquire some copies of original Zoo Line wholesale catalogs. They are so interesting to look through -- the way some of the products were originally marketed is hilarious!
"Zoo Line Manicure Animals are a man's best friend."
I'd really love to get my hands on "Terry, the Trained Seal." I've yet to see one of these anywhere!
And we're finally able to solve the mystery of whether or not Kay Bojesen played any part in designing Zoo Line animals. NOPE! This chimpanzee, for example, is attributed to T. Saito of Tokyo and Wah Chang of Los Angeles. Other animals in the catalog have other designers' names attached to them, though none are names I recognize.

to read a little interview we gave about our collection, plus to see some other impressive collections of wood figurines!
We have a new collection a-brewin' in the Red Line Vintage household. These Robert Maxwell critters are definitely a newfound obsession!
Happy holidays, friends of Red Line Vintage! We hope you'll all be enjoying some quality time with family, friends, and loved ones over the next few days. We'll be taking some much needed time off, and will not be shipping orders again until 2013.
Of course, if you have an urgent matter, feel free to email us and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Cheers to 2013!
The holidays are right around the corner, and we've done our best to serve up a huge December collection of vintage for all your gift-giving needs.
Well of course you want to receive your purchases before Christmas, right? Right.
We'll be shipping orders 2-3 times per week through the month of December, and can also potentially accommodate rush shipping needs. But keep in mind that we need at least a day to pack orders, and please email us
before purchasing if you are concerned about delivery time or need to upgrade shipping.
PS, I must mention that unless you're shipping Express Mail, please view these dates as guidelines rather than guarantees. If USPS can't guarantee it, we can't either.
As promised, we're closing out 2012 with a bang!
December's collection includes more than 100 new items just listed!
